8 years today.

We go back every year to our wedding venue. Today I said to Luke, “Maybe you’ll also get married here one day.”

He said, “Yeah, but I hope things will get better by then because I might accidentally pick someone with coronavirus.”

There’s a lot that their little hearts and minds don’t understand. I struggle knowing the right things to say.

So I tell him, "Things will definitely get better, my son." 💕🌱🙏🏼

 I am encouraged to see how the Lord provides! Thank you, God. 

Though I did not want to go, we paid and registered. So we went. We drove almost 2 miles out. And then, I felt it. The connection. Connection with nature, and ultimately God. 

Yet, my mind feels uneasy. So many thoughts of what if? So many discomforts. It's hard to be a human these days. God, grant us today your daily bread. Grant us your grace, peace, and security. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Morning like these...

The June gloom, the soft, sweet snuggles, the textures of green throw pillows against gray, the time to reflect on motherhood via words shared from another mother. 

New Start

This is a place for me to record, process, and love on the little years. This is also an attempt for me to be a more reflective parent. Here we go... 

"Little Mammal" is an imaginary friend that Luke came up with a year ago. Since then, Josiah has his own little mammal, and apparently Mommy and Daddy both have one, too.
